I'm really wanting to order an ARKEN but being so new and so inexpensive for what you get, I'm scared. I have only used Nightforce or Swarovski and scared I'll be disappointed. Not trying to sound like a one upper. I have a Tikka or Franchi Momentum ordered in .223. and NOT wanting to spend $2500 on the scope for it.
Ya'll think the ARKEN will be a good choice. Looking at the 24X. I HATE FFP but I could deal with it since I mostly dial my holds and will not shoot this much on low power, probably 10X and up.
Thanks for your opinions😎
I believe you will be good with the Arken! I have used Vortex Razor Gen2 3-18 and 4-27 and AMG, Nightforce NXS 3-15 and ATACR 5-25, as well as Kahles 6-24. I have sold all of my high end optics in favor of the Arken. I can’t justify the higher funds for the other optics.
No question you will like it!! I have two cabinets full of high end scopes and after buying one, I’m going for two!! My best advice buy the whole package, its the best deal around and is very high quality.
thanks Mr. Sweet

Arken is a great scope don't let anyone tell you any different!! I think it would be great for what you want to do I have 2 one in mil one in moa I love them both and they kick vortex ass on clarity believe me I own vortex also to be specific vipers and if you buy a Vortex SE be ready to use the warranty! But the Arken to be truthful with you has fine cross hairs and they are hefty and personally I think they can compete at any level with any rifle scope they are very clear at any magnification and draw in light in low light situations trust me buy one take a chance on it you will not be disappointed if you are I will buy it back from you just hit me and let me know! But like I said they are hefty and built like a tank!!
So if you want to stay under $2k and have spent $1k on the rifle, that leaves you about $750 for the scope, right? Figure $75 for a scope mount and then $150 to get a few magazines and a basic bipod.
In that case, what you want is a Meopta Optika6 3-18. Go check out this review comparing it to a Vortex PST II 3-15: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKUkfWlUDPM
Or, if you'd like to try Arken and aren't in a rush, then get settled in for a bit of a wait and grab one of the next set of EP4s that come up for sale. They're quite nice, and a definite step up from the SH4.
Hi THF, thanks for your reply. I just sold a finicky custom built .223. EVERYONE needs at least one .223, so, I Ordered a Tikka and Franchi, whichever I can get first. Figured these would be about the most accuracy for "around $1K. Want to stay under $2,000 on this whole set up. I do like a lot of magnification when I need it but if at the highest power everything goes to chit ,scope wise, no point in buying it. I am also looking at a , dare I say it, a Vortex and some of the other "closeouts" (Nikon). I'm not an "AR" fan, nothing against them, great rifles, I've owed a few, just dont like shooting them.
I saw this Arken, thought I would get some real life feedback on them.
Don't like FFP, and are used to Gucci gear? No, you won't be happy with Arken. They're not trying to compete with the top tier stuff. For a budget around $1500 if you want to branch out and try new brands, get a Vortex Golden Eagle. Sounds like more your speed - SFP, finer adjustments, reticle designed for dialing in your shots.
Looking for a scope to hunt hogs/coyote/deer under 200 yards with illuminated reticle. Any suggestions?
