i got the 34mm 20MOA one piece scope mount. where on the mount do i level from? behind the rings and on top of the lower ring half doesn't match. being a 20MOA mount. it wouldn't be correct to level the upper, then the scope. and ignore the mount. thanks for any help you can give. nice mount BTW!

GunSpin is really fun! The gameplay is easy to understand but addictive, making me want to play it forever. You can try it now!
You’ll want to level from the base of the mount, ideally on a flat surface that isn’t affected by the built-in 20MOA slope. The best method is to place a small level on the rail section of the mount (if possible) or on the receiver itself to ensure your rifle is level first. Then, when mounting the scope, focus on leveling the reticle rather than relying on the mount’s upper surfaces. A plumb bob or a known vertical reference can help with this. Hope that helps! mybalancenow
When using a 34mm 20MOA one-piece scope mount, leveling your scope correctly is crucial for accurate shooting. The steps are as follows: Mount the Base, Initial Leveling, Position the Lower Ring Halves, Leveling the Mount, Mount the Scope, Leveling the Scope, Tighten the Rings, Double-Check Everything. boxing random
Level the rifle at the top of the picatinny rail, then level the scope reticle to match. Use a plumb line to ensure the reticle is level. Those are the only 2 reference points you need. Once mounted, secure the rifle from canting, then verify the reticle travel up the length of the plumb line to the extremes in the full up and full down of elevation.
