How far in mm or inches will the ocular lens turn counter clockwise before detaching from the scope and does it have a stop mechanism to prevent it from detaching?
Second question: if the ocular lens does become detached from the scope due to rotating it too much counterclockwise will it affect any of the protective fogging gases in the scope?
Reason I am asking these questions is my EP5 scope ocular lens has already been rotated out counterclockwise close to 1/2 inch and still not in focus. I'm afraid to rotate it out anymore for fear it might detach from the scope.
It has a built in stop to prevent accidents. On the EP5, I would recommend turning the ocular all the way back in, and giving it another try. Even my horrible eyes don't require that much adjustment out.
