It truly depends on what you wish to do with it, that might have an effect on your shooting. The difference in the MOA and the MIL, is the MOA is .25" per click (by 1/4ths), and the MIL is .36" per click (by 10ths). You won't know a difference as a shooter, but the math is way faster in MIL. At least it is for me. Your mileage may vary...
The 5-25 is good out to 1200 as long as you have a 20 moa base. flat bases tend to run ouit of elevation in the scope at approx 800 yards depending on ammo and caliber
